On the plane, Monica revealed she innocently had lunch with ex-boyfriend Richard, which sent Chandler into a jealousy spiral. Joey was in Las Vegas, shooting a movie, when the gang decided to join him on a fun trip. It's Chandler, however, that started having real feelings for Monica, and the adorable moment that Monica realized Chandler was the one who called in a fake emergency to her doctor boyfriend was where these two clicked in this alternate universe.Īt the end of Season 5, they were having one of those downs. With Monica a 30-year-old virgin who kept getting blown off by boyfriend Roger, she and Chandler flirted like their usual selves, falling into bed together and starting a "friends with benefits" relationship. Monica, meanwhile, pondered what life would be like if she hadn't lost all that weight, asserting that Chandler (who envisioned himself as a struggling writer) would never have dated her.īut in a sweet, however convoluted way, Monica and Chandler still ended up getting together in this alternate reality fantasy. When Ross refuses to come clean to his parents, Monica does it for him opening the floodgates to a myriad of secrets and confessions. Monica and Ross’s parents are coming over for dinner, but Monica still hasn't told them about her and Chandler because they don't like Chandler.Ĭhandler is determined to win them over, however, Ross then reveals that the reason Judy and Jack don't like him is that Ross lied about Chandler smoking pot in college to save his own skin. “The One Where Ross Got High” hits all the notes of a traditional Friends Thanksgiving episode but it's cranked up to eleven. The episode ends on a sweet note though with Monica putting a turkey on her head to apologize to Chandler and Chandler saying he loves her for the first time. All the flashbacks are absolutely hilarious and packed with lines that sound funnier when you know what happens in the future. Rachel thinks it's the 1988 Thanksgiving when Monica (now thin) tried to get revenge on Chandler by seducing him and accidentally ended up cutting off his toe. However, that’s still not the Thanksgiving Rachel had in mind. But Monica tells the story of the 1987 Thanksgiving when Chandler came over for the first time and called her fat. Phoebe thinks it’s the one when Joey got her turkey stuck on his head, which is exactly as it sounds.
